MATERNITY PORTRAITS

HELLO and welcome to the journey of parenthood!

As a mother of two beautiful girls, I am constantly reminded of how quickly children grow and change. If I could slow down time, I would! But since that is not possible, I am so grateful that I can photograph moments and relive the memories every time I see the photos.

That is truly the beauty and gift of photography - and I look forward to sharing that gift with you!

Our sessions are designed to tell YOUR story, and the anticipation that pregnancy brings. It's amazing how things that seem so ordinary today will one day become memories that you will treasure.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK A SESSION?

To book a session, we require a signed contract and a non-refundable deposit of $500. Click here to review the contract.

WHAT IS THE COST OF A SESSION? 

The session fee is $690. This includes your session and a $500 print credit! Click here for our product guide.

HOW CAN I MAKE A PAYMENT?

You can make a payment by sending an e-transfer to willowbeephoto@gmail.com. We also accept cash, cheque and credit cards. If you want to make multiple payments for your print order, please let me know and we can work out a plan for you!

WHAT IS A FULL SERVICE STUDIO, AND WHAT DOES THAT MEAN FOR ME?

What that means for you is that I will be there every step of the way to make this experience as relaxing and stress-free as possible... actually you will likely have a lot of laughs and have a really fun time. 

We start with creating a plan, a vision of what you want the end result to look like. The consultation is a very important part of this process.  With this vision in mind, we plan from what to wear, to where to photograph your session, to planning the end results and ordering your prints and albums.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH A SESSION?

THE CONSULTATION

During the consultation, I want to get to know you! We discuss details of how and where you want to be photographed, what to wear, and what not to wear. We talk about what you want to do with your images after the photoshoot. If there is a specific location in your home where you want a wall portrait, I take that into consideration when I compose a photo. I also photograph every session with enough variety for a beautiful album.

THE SESSION

I don't place a time limit on the actual session. I simply focus on creating an memorable experience. It usually takes about 45 minutes, but I recommend you schedule up to 2 hours.  

THE ORDERING SESSION

The ordering session generally takes place in my studio in Prince George; depending on circumstances, it could also be via phone/ online, or at your home. This is usually done about 2-3 weeks after the session. You're encouraged to bring anyone who would be part of the decision process. Prints take about 3 weeks to arrive after order; albums can take up to 6 weeks. 

If you are a visual person like I am, it will help to see what prints or a collage will look like in your home. (example below)

IS THERE A MINIMUM AMOUNT I HAVE TO SPEND DURING MY ORDERING SESSION?

No. However, I promise that your images will be so good that you will be tempted to buy them all! Fortunately, the more you buy, the more you save.

You are encouraged to order prints at your ordering session. You may purchase additional prints at a later time but there may be a fee to book an additional ordering session, or an administrative fee if your images have already been archived. 

CAN I PURCHASE DIGITAL FILES?

Yes of course! Every digital file comes with the corresponding print!

PRINTING AND DISPLAYING YOUR IMAGES!!

At WillowBee Photo Art, we highly recommend that you have your beautiful images printed! We want you to proudly display your photos in your home, at your work, on your desk. We want you to share them with your family and friends. And we want you see them and enjoy them every single day for years to come!  

We work only with professional photo labs that produce high quality prints and albums that stand the test of time. Also, images printed through us receive additional retouching at no extra cost to you. 

LEGAL STUFF... copyright? printing rights? Does this affect me? 

A professional photographer owns the copyright for photos they take; the owner of the copyright is the only one that can make alterations to their work; this includes editing, cropping, etc.

HOW IT AFFECTS YOU? If you crop or apply a filter to a photo taken by your photographer, you are breaking the law. Altering someone else's work is considered infringing the creator's copyright; it misrepresents their brand and style that they worked hard to create. If you want additional editing done to your images, please be sure to discuss this with your photographer. 

What is a PRINT RELEASE? With a print release, you may have permission to print an unlimited amount of photos for personal use. You may also share these on social media with family and friends. A print release does NOT give you the right to alter the image in any way. You cannot alter, edit, or crop the image in any way; you may not enter them in competitions or sell them for profit.

So what can I do with my digital file? You can use it for anything related to personal use! You cannot use a photo taken for personal use for commercial use. If you want to use it for commercial use, contact your photographer.

WHY WillowBee Photo Art?

From the day you first contact me, I am more than just the photographer who shows up at your photo session with a camera. I genuinely want to get to know you and what is important to you. Why? Because I care. Because this is your story and these details are an important part of creating photos that are meaningful to you.

On more than one occasion, I have been called the "Ferrari of photographers in BC". (No I don't drive a Ferrari). I must admit that I laughed when I first heard that, and asked if it was because of my prices (which I believe to be reasonable, but I respect that it is an investment on your part). I felt honoured and humbled by the response, "No, it's because you made us and each of our [wedding] guests feel special". Big awwww moment there, I know.

On the "am I legit" side of things - I am fully licensed and insured. I am experienced. And YES I look forward to working with you!
